Individual Counselling

Whether you’re experiencing a change in your life that you need support to work through, or wish to address aspects of your life that have been ongoing, I’m here to help. Offering a judgement-free counselling space, where you are centred as the expert in your life. I provide the service of an outside perspective with expertise in bringing forth empowering narratives which may otherwise go overlooked. My goal is to build on your strengths and be an engaged listener and co-author of your preferred life story.

Pricing: Sliding Scale from $50-120 per 50 minute session. I believe that no matter your circumstances, people deserve access to help when they reach out for it. Therefore, I offer a sliding scale for individual clients, to be discussed privately between you and I.

Whānau Work and Consultation

While not a family therapist, I have skills and considerable training to work alongside whānau who are going through a challenging time. I can offer single-session family consults and together we can discuss whether or not further family/whānau work with me would fit for you and your whānau. I believe in the power of families to learn from one another and heal together. In a single session consult we can identify underlying causes of distress in the whānau and discuss strategies or alternate ways of understanding the situation.

Generally whānau sessions are centred around a presenting issue which we can discuss in session. Often, families will be invited into the counselling space by someone who is already engaged in individual counselling and wishes to include their whānau in their ongoing work. I also welcome families who have not engaged in counselling to come in for a single session consult. The option to continue in a family counselling format can be discussed on a case by case basis.

Pricing: Sliding Scale from $70-120. lets have a conversation about what you can afford and set a price that is sustainable for you.

~~~~~
Hi there,
My name is Tillie and I’m a registered social worker offering counselling services to our beautiful community here in Ōtepoti - Dunedin. I’m also currently pursuing my Masters in Narrative Therapy which informs the counselling work I do. Originally from California, I came to Aotearoa New Zealand in 2019 and loved it so much, I decided to build my life here.
Simply put, I love people. I am interested in understanding people and hearing their stories. I believe that stories hold immense power and that a great deal of healing can come from telling and re-authoring your own story.
